Upcoming In Person Event for our Partners

Wednesday 29th April 2026 9.30am to 12noon

Join us for our second free INTRODUCTION TO TRAUMA workshop with Siobhan Patel from The Greater Peterborough Network this year.

Learning outcomes for the workshop:

This workshop explores what trauma is and how the body and brain respond when a traumatic event occurs. Participants will learn the distinction between experiencing a traumatic event and being traumatized, gaining clarity on why some individuals develop lasting impacts while others do not.

We will examine the physiological and emotional effects of trauma, building a deeper understanding of how it shapes thoughts, behaviours, and body responses.

The training then looks to practical application, offering guidance on how to effectively and compassionately support individuals who have experienced trauma."

Email anna.lee@saferoffthestreets.co.uk to request a place - we will contact you ASAP to confirm your space. Once confirmed an invite will be sent for your calendar, with the venue in central Peterborough. The venue has free parking and is close to bus routes.

Spaces are limited to 20 delegates, so please request your place quickly to avoid disappointment.

If you are unable to attend after booking, kindly let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.

Please advise any accessibility requests you may have. We are a very small charity, if the request is costly, we may struggle to support, although we will try our best to do so.

Please do feel free to share this opportunity with colleagues who may also benefit.
