Safer off the Streets exists to support partner organisations to make Peterborough a city where homelessness is rare, brief and unrepeated. A key part of our work is to identify, source and facilitate learning opportunities to build skills, knowledge and understanding, and break down stigma.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to Catherine from CPSL Mind for delivering a sensitive and engaging session to 21 of our partners, helping them to identify and support those at risk of suicide, whilst taking steps to look after their own wellbeing.
Primrose, support worker from YMCA Trinity Group said: "Catherine was amazing on this training! It was very insightful and helpful. Thank you again, I have been able to use the safety plan with my residents and it has made a big impact on how better to ask about this topic and what to look out for."
We couldn't provide these crucial sessions without the generous support of our hosts throughout the year. A big shout out to Peterborough CVS (Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service) for having us 🙏
